ACTION-EU – Advancing Civic Training and Involvement of European Youth is an Erasmus+ youth project connecting the Italian organization La Finestra – Liberi di Scegliere APS and the Slovenian institute Za in Proti. The aim of the project is to increase active participation of young people in political and social life at both local and European levels. The project lasts 12 months and involves 240 young people aged 17 to 24 from Slovenia and Italy, of whom at least 10% will be individuals with various forms of disabilities.
ACTION-EU addresses the key issue of political passivity among young people and provides them with concrete tools, knowledge, and opportunities for engagement. Using innovative approaches such as gamification, non-formal learning, and cross-border cooperation, the project builds bridges between youth and democratic processes and contributes to a more inclusive, aware, and connected European youth community.
Project Objectives:
Promote active participation of youth – increase political and social engagement through non-formal learning methods.
Develop knowledge and skills – inform youth about European institutions, political processes, and decision-making mechanisms.
International cooperation – exchange experiences between young people from Slovenia and Italy, promote intercultural dialogue, and improve language skills.
Promote inclusion and diversity – activities will also be accessible to youth with fewer opportunities, with special attention to people with disabilities.
Media literacy and combating disinformation – strengthen the ability to recognize fake news and develop critical thinking.Planned Activities:
