Climate of change
The “End Climate Change, Start Climate of Change« ” project is co-funded by the European Commission under the DEAR program (Development Education and Awareness Raising), which aims to raise awareness and foster critical understanding of climate-driven migration among young EU citizens, highlighting it as one of the greatest challenges of a globalized world.

The main goal is to build a better future both for climate migrants—the human face of climate change—and for young people who will experience the most severe impacts of the climate crisis. By engaging youth across Europe, the project emphasizes the interconnected effects of local and global inequalities and empowers young people not only to change their daily lives but also to become advocates for global justice.
ZA in PROTI participates in the project as the partner responsible for conducting debate activities in Slovenia.

Education and Awareness
At the local, national, and European levels, debate competitions will be organized for secondary school students, university students, and youth from youth centers. The competitions are not only about winning but also about educational opportunities, allowing participants to gain a deeper understanding of climate change and migration-related topics. In 2021, the winning teams of the national competitions will take part in the Europe-wide final in Brussels, expected in November 2021. A total of 26 “Winners for a Humane Economy” from 13 EU countries will have the opportunity to visit one of the countries where studies took place, and their voices will also be heard across various social media channels.
