Debating for diversity
The 'Debating for Diversity' project is an Erasmus+ initiative targeting university students in Romania, Slovenia, and Serbia, encouraging them to become active and informed citizens. Through inclusive debate sessions and an international forum, the project aims to strengthen critical thinking, promote intercultural understanding, and foster active participation in democratic processes. The project is designed for young people aged 18 to 25 in Romania, Slovenia, and Serbia.
The project runs from September 2024 to January 2026 and will organize 24 debate sessions across the three countries. The sessions will take place in multiple languages, including Hungarian, Romanian, Serbian, Slovenian, and English, promoting linguistic diversity and enhancing intercultural dialogue.
Students will have the opportunity to develop their debating and communication skills while discussing key societal issues. Project topics include human rights, democracy, and the impact of new technologies. Participants will also take part in a three-day International Debate Forum in Slovenia, where they will attend workshops and debate sessions, exchanging ideas on global issues such as climate change and artificial intelligence. The event aims to promote intercultural understanding and provide a unique learning experience for both students and trainers.
