NO-BORDERS DEBATE TOURNAMENT FVG 2021
From the 12th to the 15th of May, our teams and judges will be participating in the No-Borders Debate Tournament, organised as a part of the Debate for the updated reading of Contemporality project. The tournament is a cooperation between Za in Proti and the Accademia di Argomentazione e Debate del Friuli Venezia Giulia and will bring together debaters, judges and coaches from Italy, Slovenia, Croatia and Austria.
Several preliminary rounds will take place in the first days of the tournament, with the last day being reserved for the semi-final and final debates. The motions for the preliminary rounds are:
- “THBT THE ADOPTION OF ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES WILL IMPROVE THE WELL-BEING OF INDIVIDUALS AND OF SOCIETY IN GENERAL.”
“THBT TO FACE HEALTH EMERGENCIES, IT IS ETHICALLY JUSTIFIABLE FOR A DEMOCRATIC STATE TO LIMIT SOME FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS SUCH AS INDIVIDUAL FREEDOMS IN ORDER TO PROTECT THE HEALTH OF THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY.”
