The project aims to equip teachers with the digital tools and know-how needed to teach media and information literacy in an online environment. Given the alarming rate of misinformation and fake news proliferation in the light of the medical, political and economic implications of the Covid-19 pandemic, rapid development of engaging pedagogies and digital tools is necessary for teachers to be able to help their students in developing media and information literacy skills. This project will utilize the partners’ expertise in using debate methodology to improve existing media literacy education approaches while adapting the developed pedagogy for online use.

The project outputs are:

1. A Methodological Manual OER focused on teaching media and information literacy through the use of collaborative debate methodology

2. An Implementation Toolkit OER delivering practical solutions for teaching media and information literacy in a range of different environments

3. An interactive web platform housing developed materials

Through its activities and outputs, the project will strengthen the capacity of teachers and other educators to carry out media and information literacy education, support them in delivering that education in online environments, and blend non-formal teaching styles with formal education, providing young people with access to a meaningful education that can improve their lives.

The project partners will include debate-oriented NGOs, secondary level schools and a digital technology expert organization.

Projekt je financiran preko Eramus+ sheme.
